Recycling has also
been an integral part of our garden development. Not only clippings and scraps
for the chooks and compost, but finding new ways to use things that’s others
might throw out. For example, some old half wine barrels that were used as
garden tables were recycled as “pots” when the tops rotted out. We filled them with soil and grew spuds and flowers in them. We love
Council Clean-ups, as you never know what you’ll find or what we will think of to do with it. Our garden features old ladders, plough discs, wrought iron railings, rusty wheels and an antique chimney doubling as a plant stand. We are limited only by our imagination.
